HOW TO TASTE

To enjoy a wine, you should take into account the following criteria: Color, Aroma, Taste and Aftertaste.
Below are some tips on how to evaluate each of the above criteria.

1. Color and Clarity
Hold a glass, filled with wine up to a third, against a white background and observe the color and clarity of the wine.
Its clarity should be bright (not blurred) and the color should be appropriate to the type of wine and its age.

2. Aroma
Gently stir the wine in your glass. The wine must contain the aromas associated with its varieties (eg. Melon and citrus with Sauvignon Blanc, cherry and currant with Cabernet Sauvignon, etc.), accented by toast, vanilla or spicy aromas from the casks. As the wine gets older, you may have a less fresh and fruity aroma, but you will have a greater complexity.

3. Taste

The key to quality is balance and harmony between all of its elements: fruit, alcohol, acidity and wood (if any).
When tasting a wine - especially if you gargle before swallowing – you may quickly gain the impression of its most striking elements (is it fruity, sour, smooth, bitter?) and the harmony between them.

4. Aftertaste
Persistence of the taste in the mouth, that is, after the swallowing, the longer the flavor of the wine lasts, the greater the aftertaste.

Alentejano correcto
2015-05-06, Goncalo Jesus
Aroma de frutos silvestres, falta algum aroma da baunilha do syrah na minha opinião. É um vinho que enche a boca, tem taninos fortes e algo vincados. O final é médio. Não engana que é alentejano...
